Short version

Apsody collects information needed to run the app, including account details, ingredient inputs, optional scan photos, support messages, device or user identifiers, and purchase status for Premium access. We do not sell your data.

Who We Are

Apsody is a mobile app that helps you decide what to cook or mix with ingredients you already have.

Information We Collect

We may collect your name, email address, account identifiers, device identifiers, typed ingredients, ingredient photos, recipe or drink prompts, saved meals, pantry preferences, feedback, support messages, and the settings needed to make the product work.

How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide recipe and drink suggestions, manage accounts, authenticate users, validate Premium access, support subscriptions, save meals, maintain security, prevent misuse, fix bugs, respond to support requests, and improve Apsody.

Photos, Camera, and Ingredient Inputs

Camera access is used only when you choose to scan ingredients. Ingredient photos, typed ingredients, surrounding image context, and related prompts may be processed to identify food items and generate suggestions. Image recognition can misidentify, omit, or incorrectly interpret ingredients, quantities, packaging, or surrounding objects.

AI Processing

Ingredient photos, typed ingredients, drink prompts, and related user inputs may be sent to an AI provider to generate recipe or drink suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, so review it before relying on it.

Subscriptions and Purchases

We may receive purchase status, subscription history, entitlement status, transaction identifiers, and related billing metadata from Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or similar payment and entitlement providers. Apsody does not store full payment card details.

Product, Error, and Debug Data

If enabled in the app, we may collect product interaction data, error logs, crash reports, and debug information to understand app performance, troubleshoot problems, protect accounts, and improve reliability. This website repository does not include analytics, pixels, ads SDKs, Sentry, Crashlytics, PostHog, Firebase Analytics, or similar tracking tools.

Third-Party Service Providers

Apsody may rely on service providers such as Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, Supabase, AI providers, Apple App Store, Google Play, hosting providers, email providers, and support tools. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services, comply with law, or protect the app.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with service providers, app stores, payment and entitlement providers, AI providers, hosting providers, analytics or debugging providers if later added, legal authorities when required, or others with your direction or consent.

Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for protecting access to your account and devices.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Contact supportapsody@gmail.com to make a request.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account or personal information by contacting supportapsody@gmail.com. We may retain limited information when required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, subscription records, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.

Children’s Privacy

Apsody is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors should use Apsody only with parent or legal guardian permission where required.

App Store and Device Permissions

You can manage camera permissions in your device settings and subscriptions through the relevant app store account settings. Apple and Google may process information under their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. If updates are material, we will provide notice where required.
